Monbus starts up urban transport service between Sant Boi and Barcelona
After being awarded the tender, the joint venture formed by Monbus Autocares Julià started the urban passenger transport service between Sant Boi de Llobregat, Barcelona and 12 other municipalities on 16 July.
This is a daytime service of 16 lines, with a total of up to 537 stops, which will cover the municipalities of Sant Boi de Llobregat, Cornellà de Llobregat, Sant Joan Despí, Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Sant Just Desvern, Esplugues de Llobregat, L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, Santa Coloma de Cervelló, Torrelles de Llobregat, Castelldefels, Gavà, Viladecans and Barcelona. During 2019, this service carried more than 10 million passengers.
The service will be provided by a fleet of up to 126 state-of-the-art coaches, including 88 hybrid units (combined electric and combustion engines) and 9 100% electric units.
