Mind-blowing victory of Monbus Obradoiro
The sixth victory of the Monbus Obradoiro was full of suspense. The Montakit Fuenlabrada did not make it easy, but a tip in of Mike Daum two seconds from the end tipped the balance in favour of the Galician team (78-77).
The first half started with a fierce defence of the visiting team. Brodziansky began to find the holes on the fuenlabreño wall and thanks to the three-point shots of Álvaro Muñoz,, the Monbus Obradoiro took advantage (19-10).
In the second quarter both teams got stuck in attack. Individual plays helped the team, with an inspired Mike Daum in the local team. Despite their offensive, the Montakit Fuenlabrada reduce the gap closing the first half just six points behind the Monbus Obradoiro (38-32).
After the break, the Monbus Obradoiro increased its intensity in defence, but could not stop the progress of the opponents who closed the quarter equalizing the score (57-57).
The accumulation of fouls on key players of the Obradoiro did not slow down their progress. Two 3-pointer of Czerapowicz put Obradoiro back in the lead. After a tough exchange of blows, Fuenlabrada managed to take the lead with just one minute to go (76-77). An overwhelming possession caused Muñoz to force the 3-pointer by being spat out through the hoop. Mike Daum was the quickest to get on the ball with an unmistakable tip in that sentenced Montakit Fuenlabrada to their sixth win.
