Monbus invests in a project which will significantly improve the experience of the user
Fully intending to improve the quality of its services every day, Monbus is working in a new project which consists of implementing sophisticated technological systems which will allow it to have an own fleet control centre and to improve in this way the information given to the user.
This initiative is fully compatible with the Mobility Operating Support System (SAE), platform driven by la Xunta de Galicia and integrated in the Transport Modernization Plan which will be launched from summer 2015.
The platform has a Control Centre in which data about the position of the vehicles which operate in the concessions of Galician regular transport will be received, which will imply an improvement in the Citizen’s Advice Service.
This tool offers a series of advantages both for concessionary companies of Galician regular transport lines and for the 25 million users which use them every year, by means of more than 1000 buses.
Among other functionalities, the system will allow fleet real time location, which will facilitate the follow up of vehicles, the quick management of possible incidents and in general the optimisation of the service operating.
Moreover, citizens will be able to obtain all the information they need through the web, mobile devices, Apps and informative panels, measures which will contribute to increase the quality of the service offered to the passenger.
