Xinzo de Limia Carnival (Ourense)
Festivity of International Tourist Interest, the longest carnival in Spain, part of the famous Carnival Triangle of Galicia... this is the Carnival of Xinzo.
It all starts three weeks before carnival with the Saturday of the Petardazo, Sunday Falereiro, Saturday Colgamento do Meco, Sunday Oleiro, Saturday de Mulleres, Sunday Corredoiro, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday de Entroido, Tuesday Gran Desfile, Wednesday Entierro de la Sardina and Sunday de Piñata.
During all these days, the streets are full of people ready to enjoy street parties, parades, brass bands and typical gastronomy that delights any palate.
It is also famous for its characteristic characters, absolute protagonists of this carnival, the Pantallas, who lead the parade of floats and troupes through the streets hitting two animal bladders, dry and inflated like balloons with which they "scare" the assistants to the event.
