Monbus

Nursery students from Galén pre-school in Lugo came for a guided visit through Monbus central office. A coach from the company took them to the Monbus central office located in A Louzaneta industrial area.

They were welcomed by the president of Monbus, Raúl López who invented them to the meeting room where they had a snack. Rául López gave some words about how important is to use public transport.

Once they finished the visit they were given credentials to get into the garage. There, staff explained what type of activities are done and they could get on modern coaches as the Setra modelo ComfortClass 519HD.

Thanks to the professional staff, nursery students learnt about technological advances like: EBA (emergency brake assist), active lane assistant, LDW system (lane departure warning), three-point seat belt and isofix anchorages system

Children learnt about how important is the respect for the environment and the sustainability. They also discovered vehicle's components: Euro VI engines and BlueTec, PPC in order to optimize fuel consumption and reduce emissions of polluting gases.

They tried comfortable seats of modern coaches thanks to reclining seats with lateral displacement, led lights, fridge, WC’s, plug sockets, USB connection, free Wifi access...

They could also see a bus from 20s and a Mercedes from 50s

Thanks to this activity children could see how works a passenger transport company and, at the same time, they do it in a fun and pleasant way.
