New Bus Station in San Sebastian
The 5th February 2016 the new bus station will open, but it won’t operate until 6th February.
Regular services from San Sebastián and ticket sale will be from the new bus station (situated in Paseo de Federico García Lorca,1), rather than the old bus station (Paseo de Vizcaya,16).
Eneko Goia, current San Sebastian’s mayor has chosen a new date for the opening of the new station of Atotxa, after cancelling the intended inauguration on January 15th due to a problem with the smoke extraction system.
The building has three floors and in the mezzanine you will find station accesses, offices, tourism offices and a bicycle parking area.
On the other hand, the building has a large park car for more than 400 cars and some of them for people with reduced mobility.
Another important point is that the new building will open the same year which the city has been elected as European Capital of Culture.
Therefore, beginning on the 6th of February all arrivals to and departures from San Sebastian will be on the new station located at Paseo Federico García Lorca, no.1.The first bus from the new bus station will leave on Saturday 6th February at 7:15 a.m. to Barcelona Sants and Barcelona Nord.
