Last evening, there was a meeting in which the Board of Directors of the Compostelan club came to an agreement with Leche Río Group S.A. and Castromil S.A. This agreement establishes that both Galician companies will share the main sponsorship of the club during the next three seasons. In this way, Leche Río replaces Blusens, being “Río Natura Monbus” the new name of the club.
The presentation of the new sponsor of Obradoiro Basket Team took place at St. Francisco Monument Hotel in Santiago de Compostela this morning. The managing director of Leche Río S.A. Group, Jesús Lence, the executive president of Castromil S.A. and president of Obradoiro CAB SAD Raúl López, the general manager of Obradoiro CAB SAD, José Luis Mateo and the trainer of the basket team, Moncho Fernández were present.
There was a special mention for the achievements obtained during the period in which Blusens was the sponsor of the Galician entity. The general manager of the club pointed out that during that period “the team has gone up to LEB, it has remained at ACB and it has written the most glorious page in the club story”.
Following his criteria, Raúl López, president of the club and of Monbus, asked Galician entrepeneurs to support sport and mainly the Compostelan club, with the help of Public Administration saying “to invest in Obradoiro Basket Team is profitable, there is a space for everybody and we need everybody”.
An emotional ceremony in which the illusion, the optimism for the future as well as the words of thanks had a special relevance.
