Monbus presents new hybrid vehicles in Alcalá
Monbus has added six new hybrid buses to the Alcalá de Henares urban transport service. New vehicles have been presented in a public act in which Monbus has participated together with the representatives of the City council of Alcalá and the Regional Consortium of Transports of the Community of Madrid.
In the presentation, the general manager of Monbus, Javier Cuesta, highlighted that the fleet that provides urban transport service in Alcalá de Henares is one of the most modern in the Community of Madrid. Made up of 58 vehicles with an average age of less than 4 years, is a fleet updated to the new times and fully accessible to the entire population of Alcalá de Henares.
The mayor of Alcalá de Henares, Javier Rodríguez Palacios, wanted to thank Monbus for its continued investment in renewing the fleet and for doing so with a clear focus on environmental sustainability, reducing emissions from vehicles that are continually running through the city.
These six vehicles that are already operating in the streets of the city represent a fuel saving of 8.5% over its predecessor and produce fewer emissions of gases and particles. These new vehicles, together with the 17 gas vehicles that were already part of the fleet, make residents of Alcalá de Henares enjoy an efficient and sustainable service.
