Monbus sets a course for the beach
The summer has begun and as usual at this time Monbus will offer special services to different beaches, both in Galicia and Catalonia. This measure will save travellers the expense associated with a trip with a private vehicle, in addition to the problem of parking on the coast in the middle of the high season.
In the Galician community, from Ourense a line has been enabled on Sundays and holidays that will go through the beaches of Sanxenxo, Portonovo, Montalvo and A Lanzada before reaching A Toxa. Another option from the city of Ourense has as destination Samil (Saturdays, Sundays and holidays), the same sandbank to which the neighbours of Verín and Xinzo can go (Sundays and holidays). In these services, the outward and return will be on the same day and will be operational until 1 September.
In addition to being able to organize their trips to the south of Galicia from various points of the community, travellers can also move easily to such popular destinations as Pontevedra, Sanxenxo, Portonovo or Vilalonga thanks to the regular services of Monbus.
Another one of the outstanding services of the summer returns one more year. Grobus will celebrate its fifth anniversary as a tourist bus and a reference for trips around the town of O Grove both during the day and at night.
Finally, if the summer plan is to discover the charms of the Camino de Santiago, Monbus has regular lines that allow to do the epilogue to Fisterra and Muxía after the arrival to the Plaza del Obradoiro or completes the last stretch of the French route starting the adventure in Sarria.
Enjoying the Mediterranean
In the case of Catalonia, the alternatives will be numerous to enjoy the summer sun at the foot of the Mediterranean. In El Prat de Llobregat the Platja Exprés service is already in operation, connecting the town centre with the municipality's beach during the weekends and public holidays in June, July and August.
In addition to this initiative, special services will be available with departures from Igualada and Manresa to the beaches of Coma - Ruga, Sant Salvador, Calafell, Segur de Calafell or Cunit. The timetables can be checked at the following link.
Long-distance lines to Salou and Barcelona will be increase its frequencies in order to reach the Costa Dorada more easily.
