The Monbus Obradoiro falls before Real Madrid
The Monbus Obradoiro coul not win in its visit to the Wizink Center where they felt before Real Madrid with 24 points of difference. Despite the large advantage, the team led by Moncho Fernandez left with its head high after fighting until the end against the all-powerful white team.
From the beginning the Monbus Obradoiro showed its best weapon, three-pointer. Ben Simons and Kyle Singler turned on the tap scoring the first two of the six 3-pointers in the first quarter (20-22). A 3-pointer of Rudy Fernández in the last moment allowed Monbus Obradoiro to be ahead on the scoreboard (45-43).
Coming back from locker room, visiting team were motivated after Ben Simons appeared to open a score. I was an illusion. From that moment players of Real Madrid moved towards success (71-56).
Real Madrid upped the ante after the break and the Monbus Obradoiro tried to reduce the gap. Maxime de Zeeuw as defender scored 10 points in the last quarter.
After travelling to Madrid, Endesa League comes back this week to Multiusos Fontes do Sar. The Montakit Fuenlabrada visits Santiago (20th April at 20:30 pm) in a key dual for its presence.
