The Monbus Obradoiro triumphs in Burgos

The Monbus Obradoiro walks with sure steps towards its objective, I.e., its presence in the ACB league and thanks to this victory against San Pablo Burgos (76-84) they are closer to get it.

Ben Simons was as a reference in his visit to Burgos’ court. The American forward scored 10 three-point shots which were very important in the final result and he equalled the best record of a Obradoiro’s player in the Endesa League, achievement shared with his team-mate Kostas Vasileiadis.

At the beginning of the match the team led by Moncho Fernández showed their strength and that allowed them to take advantage over their rival. Simons made good moves while Nacho Llovet and Vladimir Bordziansky were in charge of the interior game (18-27).

At the beginning of the second quarter local team turned the match round, but the outside shot of the Monbus Obradoiro equalised the result. At half-time everything remained to be decided (44-47).

In the restart the match went up in intensity and both teams looked for the hoop insistently. Nick Spires and Kostas Vasileiadis led the offensive game in the third quarter while the scoreboard changed constantly (65-62).

When the team was more in need Ben Simons appeared again. The Monbus Obradoiro played very well its cards in the last minutes and they got their deserved victory
