Monbus joins ‘safe stops’ campaign
Monbus has just joined voluntarily this campaign launched by the Galician Government. This new night-time service will apply to all interurban bus lines covered by Monbus in Galicia.
Thanks to this initiative, women, children, retired people and disabled people can ask the driver to get off the bus at any point of the route between 22:00 and 7:00. Passengers that want to use this service must inform the driver when getting on the bus and the stop should be included in the itinerary of the route, since buses cannot be diverted from its normal route.
The driver will stop at the point requested by the user or he will find a spot near that point that in his judgement is a safe place to stop. Passengers must get off the bus using front door, unless the person who request the stop says the contrary.
This new initiative will start on the 8th of March, coinciding with the International Women’s Day.
