The Monbus Obradoiro defeated the Estudiantes
The Monbus Obradoiro achieved a deserved victory (91-81) over Movistar Estudiantes, the fifth of the season, after a match where Vladimir Brodziansky was the star. The Slovak pivot ended the match with 27 points and 37 rating points, which helped him to be designated as the best player of the 12th round, thus succeeding his teammate, Kostas Vasileiadis, who had achieved this recognition in the previous season.
The necessity of giving happiness became obvious from the first moment. With great intensity, local team led the match during the first notes (19-14).
The rhythm continued to be high in the second quarter. The defence of Obradoiro team was the key to brake the match in attack before scoring from the triple line. In threes, Andreas Obst, Ben Simons and Kostas Vasileiadis allowed their team to reach halftime with a competitive advantage (46-30).
There was a long way to go and the Monbus Obradoiro was aimed at controlling any attempt of reaction. The points of Vladimir Brodziansky and Nacho Llovet not only destroyed rival’s options, but also increased the advantage (75-56).
