Monbus

Christmas is coming and as usual Monbus will strengthen its long-distance services between Friday 21 December and Sunday 6 January, thus allowing the movement of its users during the holidays.

Tickets can already be purchased at the Monbus website. In the advance sale there are different offers and discounts such as the ReVibajas, with which travelers can enjoy up to 50% discount on the price of their tickets depending on the advance with which they acquire them.

More services

The expansion of the services will bring an increase in the frequency and the number of services between the main national destinations so that the return home will be more comfortable and easiest:

• Vigo - Barcelona: the connection between Galicia and Catalonia will be more continuous and it will circulate daily except on Saturdays. From Vigo there will be a departure at 3:30 pm and from Barcelona it will be at 9:45 pm. On December 24 and 31 there will be no service on any of the two routes.

• Pontevedra - Irún: the departures will also be daily between the Galician city and the Basque city, with the exception of Saturdays. From Pontevedra, the buses will leave at 6:50 pm from Monday to Thursday and on Sundays, and on Fridays the departure will be at 8:00 pm. On the other hand, from the Basque city the buses will start their journey in a unified schedule always at 8:00 p.m. Moreover, this line will not circulate on December 24 or December 31.

• Barcelona - San Sebastián: the wide number of frequencies offered by this line show the greatest influx of passengers. There are three daily expeditions to travel to San Sebastián (08:45h, 14:40h and 22:05h) and to arrive to Barcelona there are two (07:15h and 23:15h) and from Monday to Thursday (13:40h) or on Fridays and Sundays (3:40 p.m.). During the Christmas period there will be exceptions in the services of this line:

- December 24 and 31: there will be no service at 10:05 pm from Barcelona or at 23:15 from San Sebastián.

- December 25 and January 1: the bus will not circulate between 07:15 and 13: 40h from San Sebastián, nor will the 08:45 and 14: 40h from Barcelona.

• Irún - Salou: In order to reach the Costa Dorada from Basque territory since day 21 we will have the possibility of travelling any day of the week except on Saturdays. The departure from Irun takes place at 06:45h while from Salou the bus leaves at 15:40h. In this line, there will be no service on December 25 and 26 and January 1.

• Salamanca - Barcelona: the trip between the Catalonian capital and the Castilian city can be done daily in both directions during the holidays, except on the 24th, 25th and 31st of December and the 1st of January. The departure time from Salamanca will be at 10:00h from Monday to Thursday and on Saturdays, while Friday and Sunday will be at 8:30 p.m. On the contrary, expeditions from Barcelona will leave every day at 08:45h.

In addition, as a novelty all lines with origin or destination to Catalonia will have a new stop in Alfajarín. This place already served as a transit point and rest for the different expeditions that left or went to the Catalan community. Now, travelers who do wish may also purchase their ticket to travel with Monbus from this point to the destination of their choice.
