Monbus in Supercopa Endesa 2018
Santiago hosted the Supercopa Endesa 2018 with Monbus Obradoiro as an excellent host. It was an event with great success of participation in which Real Madrid ended up champion. Kirolbet Baskonia and Barcelona Lassa were the rest of competitors, that during two exciting days delighted the Santiago audience.
Monbus actively participated in the event being the mean of transport chosen by the participating teams to move around Santiago. Thus, Monbus was responsible of carrying out the transfer of the different expeditions from the airport to their team hotel and also of their trips to the Multiusos Fontes do Sar to train and play their matches.

The first semifinal faced Barcelona Lassa and Kirolbet Baskonia. The Basques, led by Shavon Shields and Patricio Garino, took the lead throughout the match, reaching a 20-point advantage over the Catalonian team. The Barcelona Lassa did not give up and in the final moment it had the possession to send the game to overtime. In the decisive moment the three-point shot of Kyle Kuric did not enter and the Baskonia team went to the final (76-79).
Then the Monbus Obradoiro and Real Madrid began their match. The Madrid players started as favorites but the local team, wrapped by their fans, face it. After an intense first half, Real Madrid broke the game in the third quarter with a decisive Sergio Llull. The Spaniard was in charge of scoring 17 points and 6 assists. In spite of the adversities, the Monbus Obradoiro did not give up and led by Kostas Vasileiadis and Albert Sàbat managed to close the game with proud (61-81).
Real Madrid, champion for the fifth time
In the final, Real Madrid and Kirolbet Baskonia played a close match in which everything was decided in the last minutes. The Whites suffered against the Basques but finally they ended up conquering the fifth Supercopa of their history (80-73).
The success of the event was reflected in a Multiusos Fontes do Sar packed to the rafters where everybody enjoyed a double session of the best basketball. The Monbus Obradoiro enjoyed with a devoted public that saw how his team did their all with pride in its first participation in the Supercopa.
