Monbus celebrates the Day without Cars
Monbus joins the celebration of the Day without Cars, making available to its users free urban transport in Ferrol, Talavera de la Reina and Lugo. In Ferrol, travelers can access the service for free during the day of Friday 21st while in Talavera de la Reina and Lugo the day chosen for the celebration will be on Saturday 22nd.
The three cities wanted to join this project that is part of the European Mobility Week, a European initiative that serves to introduce and promote measures of sustainable transport alternatives to the use of the car in the cities.
During the day, several urban areas will be closed to motorized traffic and in pedestrian areas will be established outdoor activities, with public transport being the most immediate and efficient way to travel.
Apart from enjoying, the day wants to encourage the use of public transport, which, among others, has the advantages of better use of time, saving time and money and conserving the environment. All this has an impact on a better quality of life for all.
