The Obradoiro is making a strong comeback
The Rio Natura Monbus Obradoiro comes back after seven defeats in the Endesa League. The galician team won a well deserved victory in Multiusos Fontes do Sar against the ICL Manresa. Finally, they went home with a 89 to 75 score.
From the very beginning Fernández’s team got a fantastic first quarter making any mistake in attack. Eastern Europe players, Dulkys, Bendzius and Pustovyi achieved 22 out of 29 points in the first ten minutes.
In the second quarter, the visitor team were only three points below (38-37, min 17). It was brief and the Obradoiro reacted with a real basketball show to reach halftime at 49-37.
The third quarter started with a change of scenery for the Manresa team. After the half -time the Maresa opened the third quarter with a 8-0 run. Moncho asked for time out to rebuild the order and define a strategy. Manresa team, without surrendering, they kept trying until they equalized the match, what it didn’t happen because of the three point shot of Lluis Costa. (62-59)
Galician team opened the last quarter with a 9-0 run. Thanks to the good play of Dulkys and Whittington the final result of the match was 89-75.
